Privacy policy and terms of use
What data we collect on the Elemroot websites (elemroot.com, docs.elemroot.com and examples.elemroot.com), why, and for how long we keep it.
1. Data controller
Company: Elemroot OÜ (registry code 14358107)
Address: Vanemuise 45, 51003 Tartu, Estonia
Email: elemroot@elemroot.com
2. What data we collect and why
Contact form. We collect your name, email address, the subject and the content of the message; the company name is optional. We use the data only to reply to your enquiry and to prepare a quote. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
Suggestions form. We collect the type and content of the suggestion; the name, email address and reference to a page or service are optional. We use the email address only to reply, if you have provided it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website and the services.
Server logs. The web server stores a technical log entry for every request: IP address, time, requested page and browser type. We use the logs to ensure security and to compile usage statistics. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service running securely.
Site usage statistics. To improve the website, we count on our own server which pages are viewed, how long they are read and how the price calculator is used (for example, the monthly volumes entered). No cookies are used and the data is not linked to any person. If your browser has a do-not-track setting switched on, nothing is counted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving the website.
Address search and maps. Text entered in the address search is sent to the Elemroot geocoding service to find matches. Your browser requests map data from the Elemroot map service. These requests also transmit technical connection data, including the IP address. We use this data to provide the search and map functions and to keep the service secure.
We do not use personal data for marketing and do not sell it to third parties.
3. Cookies and tracking
The Elemroot websites do not use cookies or any tracking or advertising tools. The maps and map libraries on the sites are loaded from Elemroot's own server, not from a third-party service. If you choose the light or dark theme on a site, the choice is stored only in your browser and is not sent to us.
4. Transfer and retention
A message sent through a form is stored on our server in the European Union and forwarded by email to our mailbox. Our email service is provided by Google Ireland Limited (Google Workspace) as a data processor.
We keep form messages for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and the client relationship that follows from it. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- know which of your personal data we process and request a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased or its processing restricted;
- object to the processing.
To submit a request, write to elemroot@elemroot.com. If you believe we have processed your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (www.aki.ee).
6. Terms of use
Elemroot's API services are used under a contract; the terms of the contract are agreed with the client.
The price list published on this website is for information. Use of the service begins with the signing of a contract, and the price is fixed in the contract on the basis of the price list.
The content of these websites, including maps and data, is protected by copyright. Reproducing, distributing or otherwise using the content without the written consent of Elemroot OÜ is prohibited.
The source code of the example gallery (examples.elemroot.com) may be used in your own solution together with your own API key.
